Bhasma Aarti is the world-famous morning ritual performed at 3:00 AM at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, where Lord Shiva is anointed with sacred ashes amidst Vedic chanting and metallic damru rhythms. Our Sanstha provides 2:30 AM night hotel pickup, traditional Dhoti/Saree dress code setup, entry queue coordination, followed by breakfast and full-day Ujjain sightseeing.

Official Bhasma Aarti Rules & Attire Policy

Mandatory Guidelines (shrimahakaleshwar.mp.gov.in)

  • Men's Dress Code: Pure Cotton/Silk Unstitched Dhoti and Sola. Shirts, t-shirts, jeans, and trousers are strictly prohibited in Nandi Hall / Garbhagriha during Bhasma Aarti.
  • Women's Dress Code: Traditional Indian Saree or Mekhela Sador. Salwar suits and western attire are not permitted for Jalabhishek during Aarti.
  • Reporting Time: Mandatory reporting at Gate No. 4 / VIP Gate by 02:30 AM with original Photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport).
  • Pass Verification: All entries are strictly subject to temple trust permit & ID matching.
